All-new BMW X1 shown for the first time in North America, and MINI's first all-wheel drive vehicle unveiled.
RICHMOND HILL, ON, Jan. 11 /CNW/ - BMW Group Canada will present several major firsts at the Montreal International Auto Show this week. The all-new BMW X1 Sports Activity Vehicle has its North American premier, the completely refreshed BMW X3 will be shown for the first time in Canada, and the all-new MINI Countryman - MINI's first all-wheel drive vehicle - will be unveiled as well.
Each of these products sit in a rapidly rising segment in the Canadian market - the SUV category. Having increased 21 per cent in 2010 over 2009, this category is one to watch in 2011. The BMW X1 and the MINI Countryman are unique; each product has carved out its own subcategory within the overall SUV market.
