"With this newest update, what IAB Canada Board Members have done, is elect a highly-qualified group of senior executives at both the national and regional level, that can represent the Canadian Interactive advertising industry on the critical issues and challenges that it will face over the coming years," says Paula Gignac, President, IAB Canada. "And with the launch of our new Mobile Marketing Course and the addition of more Directors with deep Mobile expertise within their organizations, IAB Canada Members can be confident that IAB Canada will be there to help them maximize returns from the Mobile channel, just as we have from the Internet."

Claude Galipeau, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Rogers Digital Media, who was recently elected to the national Board, is ready to contribute his expertise: "For years, IAB Canada has worked with Publishers, Agencies and Clients to drive innovation and multi-platform marketing strategies," says Galipeau. "I'm excited to be elected to the Board of Directors in order to work with this exceptional group of business leaders, so we can continue to drive the development of digital media in Canada."

Paula Presley, Director of Sales at Yahoo! Canada, also recently elected to the national Board agrees: "Yahoo! Canada is committed to ensuring that marketers are able to unlock the full potential of the digital canvas -- including Mobile -- and we believe one of the ways to do this, is to work with IAB Canada in creating, gathering and reporting research and case studies that help demystify and highlight the benefits of the full slate of Interactive channels available; as well as work with IAB Canada's Councils and Committees to develop policies and processes that make these channels easier to plan, buy and measure."

In addition to finalizing the national Board, the following individuals have been elected to the Québec Regional Council:

Samuel Parent, Titan Interactif - Regional Director, Québec Council
Nathalie Boucher, Olive Média - Chairman, Québec Council

"We're extremely happy with the depth of participation that we're building on the Québec Council," says Nathalie Boucher, Chairman of IAB Canada's Québec Council and Director of Sales at Olive Media. "Québec is an important market for Advertisers, and Québec Publishers and Agencies are well-known for going just that one step further in developing creative solutions for integrated ad campaigns. Québec has also become a hot-bed of Mobile and other Interactive start-ups, so savvy marketers should keep their eye on the region for that reason as well."

Feb. 16, Vancouver, BC
Feb. 22, Montréal, QC (Eng only)
