LONGUEUIL, QC, Jan. 17 /CNW Telbec/ - The Jacques Cartier and Champlain
Bridges Incorporated (JCCBI) and the Ministère des Transports du Québec
(MTQ) wish to inform the public that traffic on the Honoré Mercier Bridge will be reduced to one lane in each direction
(towards Montreal and towards the South Shore) at night on both
Tuesday, January 18 and Wednesday, January 19, from 10 PM until 6 AM. Please also note that the Airlie ramp enabling access to the Honoré
Mercier Bridge towards the South Shore from Airlie St. will be closed
during this period.
The upstream bridge of the Honoré Mercier Bridge, the bridge that
enables access to the South Shore (Route 138 west), will be completely
closed to traffic during this period. Traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction, with one being against the current of traffic on the downstream bridge
(Route 138 east). Traffic will likely be disrupted at night from 10 PM
to 11 PM and in the morning from 5 AM to 6 AM.
These closures will allow for surveying work to be carried out in
preparation for the second phase of the Honoré Mercier Bridge
