QUEBEC CITY, Jan. 20 /CNW/ - Discovery Air Technical Services Inc.
(DATS), a Discovery Air company, is pleased to announce receipt of its
Approved Maintenance Organisation (AMO) Certificate from Transport
Canada for the Boeing 737. Concurrently, DATS was awarded its first
contract on that aircraft type from a Canadian operator. Under the
contract, DATS will be the lead provider of Boeing 737 line maintenance
services for that customer at the Jean Lesage International airport in

In addition to the Boeing 737, Discovery Air Technical Services holds
Transport Canada approvals for the DASH-8, ERJ 135/145 and SAAB 340
aircraft, and will soon add other aircraft types. DATS' Quebec City
maintenance facility provides a wide range of services including
welding, avionics, engineering, machining, heat treatment, composite
and sheet metal repairs.
