"Business leaders demand a high level of ethics and integrity from the accounting profession," says Anthony Ariganello, President and CEO of CGA-Canada. "I am pleased CGA-Canada has provided me with the opportunity to contribute to the profession," says Mr. Gaa. "These experiences are some of the most interesting I've had in my career and I firmly believe this is the highest honour that a CGA can be granted."

Dr. Gaa earned a PhD in philosophy from Washington University, St. Louis in 1975 and in accountancy from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 1982. He began teaching at McMaster University in 1980 and in 1995, moved to Edmonton to take a position at the University of Alberta.
