Celebrate CFL'S Scotiabank Touchdown Atlantic at Tim Hortons

Limited Edition TimCards and Supreme Donuts available in Moncton

OAKVILLE, ON, Sept. 7, 2011 /CNW/ - Which team will you root for when the Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Calgary Stampeders face off during the 2011 Scotiabank Touchdown Atlantic game in Moncton, New Brunswick this month?  Tim Hortons, a long-time sponsor and supporter of the Canadian Football League, will help Moncton area fans of both teams get into the spirit by offering special team-branded donuts and TimCards in restaurants.

The limited edition football-shaped Hamilton Tiger-Cats and Calgary Stampeders Supreme donuts and special TimCard gift cards sporting team colours and logos will be available while supplies last until the September 25th game.

The Supreme donuts are filled with cream, dipped in chocolate and topped with white fondant football laces and edible team logos.

Tim Hortons has been a proud sponsor of both the CFL and individual CFL teams for more than 15 years. This year, Tim Hortons extends its football sponsorship to include the Moncton Football Association (MFA), which develops players ages six to 15, many of whom have gone on to play at the university level and in the CFL. Tim Hortons' relationship with the CFL and the MFA means the new Timbits football players will get the chance to play in the half-time show during Scotiabank Touchdown Atlantic.

"Tim Hortons has been proudly sponsoring professional football in Canada for years but we also support young players at a grassroots level," said Smith.  "Not only are we excited to be involved with kids, but to give them the opportunity to play in the half-time show of a CFL game is an opportunity they won't soon forget."

Tim Hortons' Timbits Minor Sports Program currently sponsors more than 200,000 kids who play on hockey, lacrosse, soccer, baseball, t-ball, ringette and football teams across Canada.
