MONT-TREMBLANT, QC, Jan. 13 /CNW Telbec/ - Altitude Restaurant, located
in the Casino de Mont-Tremblant, is set to welcome four special guest
chefs this winter. Each will prepare an exquisite five-course
Jean-Pierre Curtat, Executive Chef at Casino de Montréal, on January 25
and 26—Chef Curtat completed his studies at the Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec and went on to intern at a number of prestigious hotels and restaurants
in France. After returning to Québec in 1987, Curtat took on the role
of Executive Chef at the Manoir Rouville-Campbell. He joined Nuances in
1993 and in 2000, the restaurant was awarded the coveted CAA/AAA Five
Diamond award for the first time. Chef Curtat actively promotes
Québec's products and specialties both at home and abroad.
Serge Rourre, Chef at Casino Lac-Leamy's Baccara restaurant, February 22
and 23—Serge Rourre graduated from France's École Hôtelière d'Avignon. From 1985 to 1994, he worked at several Relais & Châteaux properties and as chef-owner of Les Mayenques. In 1996, he joined
Montreal's Ritz-Carlton Hotel and went on to become head chef at Claude
Postel restaurant, followed by a stint at L'Armoricain. He joined the
Casino du Lac-Leamy's Le Baccara Restaurant in 2001. Le Baccara has
been honoured with the CAA/AAA Five Diamond Award annually since 2001.
Jérôme Ferrer, March 15 and 16—Ferrer is the creative force behind five successful restaurants in
Montreal, including the critically acclaimed Europea, part of the
exclusive Relais & Châteaux chain. Ferrer has authored a number of cookbooks and is also well known
for his other restaurants: Beaver Hall, Andiamo, Europea Espace
Boutique and Birks Café.
Jean-Paul Grappe, March 22 and 23—Originally from Dijon, France, Jean-Paul Grappe has been manning the
stoves since 1956. He arrived in Québec in 1967 to head up the French
restaurants at the French Pavillion at the Montreal Expo. He taught at l'Institut de tourisme et d'hôtellerie du Québec from 1984 to 2006 and has authored several cookbooks.
These exclusive five-course dinners are available for $90 per person and
an additional $60 for specially selected wines with each course. Taxes
