New series premieres on Thursday, February 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on W Network

TORONTO, Jan. 4 /CNW/ - This February, Corus Entertainment's W Network brings viewers Cash & Cari, a new half-hour series that follows treasure broker extraordinaire, Cari Cucksey, and her team on their quest for hidden treasures among everyday clutter to restore and sell. Produced by Cineflix (Treasure) Inc. in association with HGTV (U.S.) and W Network, Cash & Cari premieres Thursday, February 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

"Cash & Cari brings fun and heart to the trend on the dial right now for programming about finding surprising value among everyday things forgotten in our garages, basements and attics," said Vibika Bianchi, Vice President, Original Programming, Lifestyle, Reality, Factual Entertainment, Corus Entertainment. "This new series is sure to pique curiosity and lead us all to wonder whether each of us might have a goldmine in our own homes."

Each week, estate sale guru Cari Cucksey and her team are on a mission to make as much money as possible for her client. As she prepares for the sale she's determined to uncover an undiscovered or forgotten diamond in the rough. From families moving, liquidating or downsizing, it's up to Cari to realize the potential lurking within. She discovers the history behind certain pieces and the rich stories of their former owners. Her team also refurbishes and transforms old furniture into chic one-of-a kind pieces to feature in her store.

In the first episode, premiering Thursday, February 3 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, a packed farmhouse poses a major challenge for Cari and the estate sale team. Everything must go from rare toys to a 1925 Studebaker, and the emotional owner has mixed feelings about liquidating her late father's collection. Also in this episode, Cari agrees to pay thousands for the contents of an entire home, but will she uncover enough treasures to justify the monumental cleanup? And, back at the shop, a hopeful collector comes in with an Impressionist painting - but is it a real Degas? Wilder Weir (CosmoTV's Oh So Cosmo) lends his voice as the series narrator, taking the viewer through each episode.

Cari Cucksey is the owner/operator of two businesses located near Detroit - RePurpose Estate Services and her new retail RePurpose shop that sells antiques, consignment items and her many fabulous finds along with designer and vintage clothing and accessories.
