CARE Centre Receives Mayoral Proclamation to Recognize Internationally Educated Nurses Day November 17th

Fundraising Dinner with Appearances by Michele Landsberg and Luba Goy Celebrates CARE Centre's 10th Anniversary

TORONTO, Nov. 7, 2011 /CNW/ - CARE Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses celebrates its 10th anniversary on November 17th with a fundraising dinner at Arcadian Court, featuring an address by writer Michele Landsberg, and a performance by comedienne Luba Goy. The evening caps Internationally Educated Nurses Day, from an official proclamation by Toronto Mayor Rob Ford. Tickets are available for purchase at The event includes the inaugural presentation of the CARE Centre Joan Lesmond IEN of the Year Award and is sponsored by KPMG, Rogers NurseNewsline and Canadian Immigrant.

Since its founding in 2001, CARE Centre for Internationally Educated Nurses has supported over 1,000 nurses from more than 140 countries to become registered in the province. CARE Centre is a not-for-profit professional organization funded by the Government of Ontario. Ontario receives support for some skills training programs from the Government of Canada.
