Canadian Jodelle Ferland uses Twilight fame to help others.

MISSISSAUGA, ON, Nov. 25, 2011 /CNW/ - Canadian teen star Jodelle Ferland has a heart for less-fortunate youth and next week will be in Cambodia to see firsthand how the money raised by Canadian teens through the World Vision 30 Hour Famine, is making a difference.

"I'm really glad to have this opportunity to get involved and help others," said Ferland. "Through hard work I have been fortunate and have so many opportunities.  It is really difficult to imagine that kids in other countries do not have the guarantee that if they work hard, they can succeed.  I want to help change that."

At the age of seventeen, Jodelle is one of Canada's rising young stars with an impressive collection of awards and film credits in her pocket. She is looking forward to visiting Cambodia during the week of November 28, 2011 to see how kids in that country are being helped by Canadian teens who participate each year in the World Vision 30 Hour Famine to raise money for projects aimed at improving opportunities for children and youth around the world.  Follow Jodelle Ferland on her trip to Cambodia at
