WIND Mobile to donate more than $500,000 through new competition
Best Conversation Ever

TORONTO, Feb. 2 /CNW/ - Last week, WIND Mobile launched a first-of-its-kind competition called Best Conversation Ever that asks Canadians the question: if you could talk to anyone in the world, who would it be?  Five lucky people will actually win the conversation of their dreams, and to make it happen, WIND Mobile will donate more than half a million dollars to Canadian charities.

"The goal of this unprecedented competition is to make a few dreams come true and help some important Canadian charities along the way," says Anthony Lacavera, Chairman of WIND Mobile. "First, we are going to donate $100,000 on behalf of each of the chosen personalities for participating in a conversation with our five winners - for a total of $500,000. Then, we are going to donate an additional $100,000 to six charities based on popularity in the Charity Challenge at"

The Charity Challenge is a part of the Best Conversation Ever competition and is based on popular voting. The most popular charity will receive $50,000 and the five runner-ups will each receive $10,000. Charities can increase their chances of winning by encouraging their supporters to vote for them every day.  Currently in the lead is St. Alban's Boys and Girls Club of Greater Toronto proving it's not just national charities that will win.

"We help brighten the lives of over 3,000 children and youth in Toronto and are always looking for ways to do more for the kids," says Chris Foster, Executive Director,  St. Alban's Boy's and Girls' Club. "We are in the final phase of building a Jane and Finch Youth Centre and if we are successful in the Charity Challenge we will have enough funds secured to be able to open our doors by the summer!"

"There are only 36 days left to vote, so let your favourite charity know about this great opportunity and encourage your friends and family to vote," concluded Lacavera.
