Caledon Garage Sale Bigger Than Ever

TORONTO, April 12 /CNW/ - The Coalition of Concerned Citizens is holding the 14th Annual Great Big Garage Sale on Saturday, April 30, 2011.

The largest annual fundraiser for the Coalition, monies raised from the event will be used to pay off debt associated with presenting a successful case against the Rockfort Quarry application that resulted in a precedent setting win at the Ontario Municipal Board last December.

"Every year the Sale gets bigger and better," stated Coalition President Penny Richardson.  "It's like a well-oiled machine.  We are ecstatic about the win and this year's Garage Sale is sure to have a celebratory feel as the community comes together once again to work toward retiring our debt."

The Sale takes place from 9 am to 4 pm at Someday Farm, 5192 Winston Churchill Boulevard, north of Olde Base Line Road. Highly anticipated by the community, this extravaganza features an overflowing arena of collectibles and a renowned silent auction.  Over 140 volunteers help at the event that has grown to attract around 3,000 people.

Unsold items will be donated or recycled. Admission is $2 for adults. Children under 12 are free.
