A minimum $50,000 donation to be provided
EDMONTON, May 20, 2011 /CNW/ - The Brick Ltd. (TSX: BRK) (the "Brick
Group"), together with Simmons Canada, will raise funds to support the
people affected by fires in Slave Lake. The Brick Group and Simmons
Canada will donate a total of 6% of all Simmons mattress sales from
Alberta Brick and Brick Mattress stores, between the period May 20,
2011 and May 22, 2011, directly to the Slave Lake Relief Fund.
"Communities like Slave Lake are the heart and spirit of Alberta and we
all share their grief. When tragedy strikes, Albertans pull together,
and the Brick Group and Simmons Canada are there to join the relief
efforts", commented Bill Gregson, President and Chief Executive Officer
of the Brick Group. "We hope that a $50,000 contribution, and
potentially more, will assist those impacted at this time", added Mr.
