BMW Group Canada sets the pace for 2011
RICHMOND HILL, ON, Feb. 1 /CNW/ - BMW Group Canada achieved a record
January with 1,373 retails, an increase of nearly 15 per cent - or 175
units - over the same period last year.
The BMW brand retailed 1,215 units during the month of January, an
increase of 16.7 per cent over January 2010. The new BMW 5 Series and
X3 Sports Activity Vehicle contributed to this strong growth.
The MINI brand reported 158 units in January, an increase of nearly one
per cent compared to the same period in 2010. The newly refreshed
line-up and the recent introduction of the MINI Countryman are
anticipated to make this another successful year for MINI.
BMW Motorrad Canada achieved a best-ever January with 55 motorcycle
retails. High interest in the brand-new K1600 GT and GTL models will
ensure momentum continues throughout the year.
BMW pre-owned reported January retails of 792 units, representing a 7.8
per cent increase over the same period last year.
MINI's pre-owned monthly sales increased 150 per cent compared to
January 2010 results, with a total of 145 units retailed.
