Retailer extends gaming trade-in program to include the online purchase
of used games
Best Buy Canada is offering a selection of previously played games
online for as low as $4.99
The previously played games are checked for quality assurance and are
sold under a 30-day exchange policy
The Played it? Trade it! program allows customers to save money and trade in used games when
buying in-store. Customers can now also purchase previously played
BURNABY, BC, May 11 /CNW/ - Best Buy, Canada's fastest growing retailer
and e-tailer of consumer electronics, computers and entertainment
products, is now offering customers the option to purchase previously
played games online for as low as $4.99 per game.
"Some of our customers tell us they want the newest games the moment
they're available, but will quickly move on to the next big thing.
Others tell us they're willing to wait but love playing games again and
again," said Aliya Kara, Director of Marketing Best Buy Canada. "The Played It? Trade It! Program has allowed both groups to save money on a wide variety of
titles in-stores and we're thrilled to now offer our customers the
option of purchasing previously played games online."
The online selection can be found at www.bestbuy.ca/preplayedgames and includes games for several popular game consoles including
Playstation 3, Nintendo DS, Nintendo Wii, PSP and Xbox 360.
All used games are thoroughly inspected for quality assurance and are
backed by a 30-day exchange policy. Best Buy will exchange damaged
games for the same title (pending availability) or in-store credit.
Customers can also search online for title availability at their local
Best Buy using the "check local store availability" feature.
Previously played games are not available in Nanaimo, Winnipeg and
select Ontario Best Buy Stores. Customers are these regions are invited
to shop online for all of the latest titles.
