BBA, Winner at the Grands Prix du génie-conseil québécois

The firm wins a 'Leonard' prize in the Telecommunications and New Technologies category for the second consecutive year

MONT-SAINT-HILAIRE, QC, April 1 /CNW Telbec/ - The 9th edition of the Leonard gala evening was held yesterday at the Montreal Science Centre.  Again this year, BBA stood out by being awarded a 'Leonard' prize in the Telecommunications and New Technologies category for its project related to the Implementation of North American National Centres for the Control and Management of Electrical Power carried out on behalf of Brookfield Renewable Power Inc.

This project consisted of implementing two National Control Centres comprising 150 electric power plants, more than 350 alternator groups and as many regulation works (dams, sluice gates, control valves) in five American states and three Canadian provinces while also standardizing their operating practices.

During the evening, 11 Leonard prizes were awarded to principal contractors and consulting-engineering firms. Overall, 38 projects reflecting the expertise and know-how of Quebec engineering were presented in various categories.
