Andrea Horwath: 'one metre bike rule....well sort of'

Horwath shreds platform centrepiece in new video

TORONTO, Sept. 6, 2011 /CNW/ - Andrea Horwath has broken yet another pledge to Ontarians, cruising her campaign SUV well within a metre of several Toronto cyclists.

Watch the video here:

Horwath announced the one-metre bike rule - the centrepiece of the disappointing NDP environment platform - less than a month ago:

"Cars are responsible to stay away from a moving cyclist by a metre."
(Andrea Horwath, August 11, 2011)

Andrea Horwath has repeatedly broken her personal commitments to Ontarians:

  • Pledged pre-election ad ban, then launched pre-election TV and radio ads
  • Expressed support for Clean Energy, but will snuff out the booming industry
  • Claimed to support full-day kindergarten, then voted to kill funding
  • Expressed support for families, but voted against the Ontario Child Benefit

Andrea Horwath has repeatedly chosen to play politics, and side with Tim Hudak's PCs, instead of choosing to support positive solutions for Ontarians.

With such a careless attitude towards her own commitments, why should Ontarians believe anything Andrea Horwath says?

Only the Ontario Liberals have a positive plan to move Ontario forward.
