MONTREAL, Jan. 27 /CNW Telbec/ - RÉSEAU environnement would like to
thank Environment Canada and Environment Minister Peter Kent, who
announced today a financial support of $75,000 for the organisation of
the International Environmental Technology Trade Show and Conference,
AMERICANA 2011. The ninth biennial edition of the event will take place
from March 22 to 24 at the Palais des congrès de Montréal.
"This financial support demonstrates to the international and Canadian
audience the dedication of the Canadian government toward the
environmental industry's development and advancement. We are very
pleased with this announcement, which will enable us to promote even
more Canada's environment industry and our event around the world,"
said Mr. Michel Lamontagne, president of RÉSEAU environnement,
AMERICANA's initiator and organiser.
AMERICANA, which was launched in 1995 and is held every other year, is
recognised as one of the largest events of its kind in North America.
It draws more than 8,000 participants, 350 exhibitors and 200 speakers
from some 50 countries around the world. Furthermore, it provides a
venue for more than 650 business meetings through its International
Business Matchmaking Forum.
AMERICANA 2011 is made possible with the support from the governments of
Canada and Quebec, as well as the financial participation of numerous
commercial partners, including Golder Associates.
