Recognized as a Video Surveillance Authorized Technology Provider
BOCA RATON, Fla., June 16, 2011 /CNW/ -- ADT Commercial, the industry's leading security systems integrator in North America, announced today that it has achieved Premier Certification and Video Surveillance Authorized Technology Provider (ATP) status from Cisco® in Canada. To earn Premier Certification, ADT had to meet high standards for networking competency, service, support and customer satisfaction set forth by Cisco®.
The ATP designation recognizes ADT as having fulfilled the training requirements and program prerequisites to design, resell, install and maintain a full range of video surveillance and access-control solutions.
Cisco® physical-security solutions provide network-centric capabilities to video surveillance, Internet Protocol (IP) cameras, electronic access control and other groundbreaking technologies by converging voice, data and physical security into a single appliance. This enables customers to preserve existing investments in analog-based technology and to use the network as a platform upon which more collaborative and integrated physical-security systems can be built.
"ADT Canada is proud to have achieved the Premier Certification as well as Advanced Technology Partner status which allows us to begin supporting Cisco's Video Surveillance portfolio," said Iain Morton, Vice President Canada, ADT Advanced Integration/Intercon Security. "We continue to invest in this alliance as part of our North American strategy to deliver security solutions that meet our clients' systems integration needs. Customers will benefit not just from our new capability but also from our shared commitment to support the Canadian security industry."
To reach Cisco® Premier Certification, ADT was required to achieve the Cisco® Express Foundation Specialization. This specialization includes tests on technical competency in the integration of basic routing and switching, wireless LANs, and security technologies. In addition, ADT was required to integrate a base level of Cisco® Lifecycle Services into its offerings and demonstrate measurably high levels of customer satisfaction based on independently audited customer satisfaction surveys.
To qualify for the Video Surveillance ATP Program, ADT had to meet a number of requirements, from having staff members who fulfill specific job responsibilities to achieving the Cisco®. Express Foundation Specialization. Those requirements are designed to help a partner maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
"As we move into new markets and emerging technologies, the Cisco® Authorized Technology Provider Partners are instrumental in helping our customers turn innovative technology into a competitive advantage," said Steve Benvenuto, Director of Emerging Technologies for Worldwide Channels at Cisco®.
"As a Cisco® Video Surveillance ATP Partner, ADT brings a unique set of skills to potential customers, combining a proven physical-security track record with Cisco® expertise."
