Abrigo Centre's Grand Carnival Gala 2011 will be hot this year! Join
Abrigo Centre as it celebrates its 3rd Annual Grand Carnival Gala on Saturday, February 26, 5:30 p.m. to
midnight, at the Palais Royale Ballroom, in Toronto.
The event will raise funds to continue delivering essential community
helping more than 750 women affected by family violence
assisting more than 90 seniors access income security
providing support to more than 700 vulnerable youth with issues of
education, homelessness, addictions and mental health
helping more than 100 parents with parenting groups and workshops
providing more than 2,000 individuals with counselling, information and
assisting more than 200 people with employment
helping more than 1,500 people access crucial services such as income
security, food and shelter
This year's Grand Carnival Ball will be emceed by comedian Teresa
Pavlinek (Women Fully Clothed and Second City). The Samba Dancers will
perform traditional Brazilian carnival dance and live Dynamic Vibe
Entertainment DJ's will fill the night with groovy music.
"The Grand Carnival Ball is anticipated to be a great success this
year," said Cristina Santos, Executive Director of Abrigo Centre. "By
sharing an evening with our faithful supporters, Abrigo Centre looks
forward to celebrating community strength and building stronger futures
for our youth."
Tickets are $150 each. Tables of 10 are $1,500.
Abrigo Centre is a multi-service, charitable organization that focuses
on building community capacity in west Toronto by helping individuals
and families achieve their full potential.
