ST. JOHN'S, June 22, 2011 /CNW/ - Newfoundland and Labrador Tourism has
paired up with WestJet to launch one of the biggest travel giveaways in
the province's history. At 12:00 PM Newfoundland Daylight Time (10:30
AM Eastern Daylight Time), June 22, the 48 Half Hours contest will
launch online via Facebook, giving people across Canada a chance to win
one round-trip flight every half hour for a non-stop 48 half-hour
period (24-hours to some folks). People can enter as many times as they
like until the contest closes at noon, NL time (10:30 AM Eastern), June
The 48 Half Hours contest, created by St. John's-based ad agency Target,
is a social media event to celebrate Newfoundland and Labrador's
unusual half hour time difference.
