200,000 visitors expected at the Palais des congrès de Montréal for the 2011 Auto Show

MONTREAL, Jan. 12, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - The Palais des congrès de Montréal will be opening its doors wide open this January 14 to 23, 2011 to welcome the more than 200,000 visitors expected for the 43rd Montréal International Auto Show, widely considered the Montréal annual automotive event of the year. The Palais has been hosting the Auto Show for 9 years.

Marc Tremblay, the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Palais, admits "the Palais passionately devotes several weeks a year to planning and hosting the Show and welcoming its visitors. The entire team is proud to contribute to the event's success by offering the Show nearly 400,000 square feet (37,174 m2) of prime event space in the heart of the city."

Room for everyone!
A total of around 500 vehicles from international car manufacturers will be passing through the 18 loading docks and multiple entrances of the Palais over the 8 days required to set up.

The Palais' versatile and modern facilities are ideal for this type of consumer show, featuring large booths whose installation can raise some interesting challenges. Over 500 hook-up points will be required to suspend the hulking structures and décors.
