The BMO National Student Innovation Awards were created to recognize and
celebrate the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurial achievement of public
school students in Entrepreneurial Adventure projects across Canada during the
past school year.
In a culminating celebration of their achievements, students and
participating schools come together for Entrepreneurial Adventure Showcases,
hosted by The Learning Partnership and BMO Financial Group. The Showcases this
year have featured over 100 innovative student ventures from 76 public schools
across Canada in Calgary, Fredericton, Toronto, Halifax and Ottawa. Now in its
13th year, the Entrepreneurial Adventure program brings together students,
teachers, and volunteer business and community partners throughout the course
of the school year to develop and implement a venture and to explore the
entrepreneurial world together. Students enhance their enterprising skills,
which include collaboration, teamwork, leadership and risk taking.
Entrepreneurial Adventure is made possible through the generous support
of BMO Financial Group, which has been a proud founding sponsor since the
program's inception in 1993, the Government of Ontario and The John Dobson
Foundation.

Established in 1993, The Learning Partnership is a national
not-for-profit organization dedicated to championing a strong public education
system in Canada through innovative programs, credible research, policy
initiatives and public engagement. Since its inception, more than three
million students and teachers have participated in one or more of The Learning
Partnership's programs, including Take Our Kids to Work(TM) and Welcome to
Kindergarten(TM). For information on The Learning Partnership, log onto
