YGC Resources reports results from its Silver Valley property

VANCOUVER, March 7 /CNW/ - YGC Resources Ltd. (Toronto Stock Exchange:
YGC; Frankfurt Xetra Exchange: ZH6) announces results from its drilling
program at its wholly owned Silver Valley property located near Ross River, in
the Yukon Territory, Canada.
Diamond drilling has commenced on the Silver Valley silver-lead-gold
property. The discovery vein was exposed in a bulldozer trench in 1968, where
it assayed 55 opt silver and 49% lead over a width of 2.4 meters. That year,
two mine levels (adits) were excavated to explore the vein, at approximately
20 meters and 50 meters below the surface exposure, respectively. Underground
channel sampling yielded values as high as 63 opt silver and 64% lead. A
17 meter length of the mineralized zone averaged 22.8 opt silver and 19.9%
lead, and averaged a width of 2.0 meters. Gold ran as high as 6 grams per
tonne, but was only analyzed for in a few of the 1968 samples.
The first phase of drill holes in the present drill program tested the
vein between 100 and 150 meters below the deepest mine workings. Many of the
holes intersected encouraging mineralization, even though the massive galena
target was not found at this depth. The greatest thickness of vein was
intersected in hole SV-07-09, where the vein was 8.79 meters across and
averaged 99.4 g/t Ag. Within this intersection, 1.0 meter of the vein ran
3.5 g/t Au, 514 g/t Ag, 2.4% Pb and 0.7% Cu. Hole SV-07-08 cut 7.76 meters
that averaged 94.4 g/t Ag, and had an internal zone of 1.28 meters that ran
275 g/t Ag and 6.6% Pb. The highest gold in the drilling was in hole SV-07-13,
where 0.72 meters ran 7.22 g/t Au. A second vein was encountered about
70 meters west of the main vein, at a depth of 250 meters below the surface.
Assays from this vein are pending.

Holes SV-02 to SV-06 and SV-14 had no significant intersections.

A new road was constructed higher on the hill, to test the upper part of
the two veins, and drilling has just begun from that elevation. The two veins
are open along strike and at depth.
