DMDSDirect To Be Offered by Indie911, I2R, Indie Pool, and The MCMA
TORONTO, March 25 /CNW/ - (TSX-V: YOO, OTCBB: YOOIF) the industry's
leading secure digital media distribution company, has announced the launch of
DMDSDirect, a new service that allows the independent North American music
community greater access to digital delivery of music. The service will
initially be available to member artists and labels of independent aggregators
Indie911, I2R, Indie Pool, and The Manitoba Country Music Association (MCMA)
located in both the United States and Canada.
DMDSDirect allows the independent aggregators and their tens of thousands
of member artists and labels to digitally distribute their radio singles and
promotional materials in the same manner utilized by major labels. DMDSDirect
users will be able to choose a package of key stations in a given radio format
or genre, pay by credit card, and have their music distributed both quickly
and digitally to radio stations throughout the United States and Canada.
"As the independent community continues to grow and become a force to be
reckoned with in the music industry, we expect to be a major part of that
growth," said John Heaven, President and CEO of YANGAROO Inc. "Artists such as
Madonna, Radiohead, and Nine Inch Nails are now members of the Indie
community, and as the major labels continue to downsize, more and more will be
joining and we're excited to be able to bring DMDS to this wider market
YANGAROO reports that the number of deliveries made by US record labels
via its Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) increased by 266% over 2006,
to 1.3 million in 2007.
YANGAROO's patented Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) is a leading
secure B2B digital delivery solution for the music and advertising industries.
DMDS is a web-based delivery system that pioneers secure digital file
distribution by incorporating biometrics, high-value encryption and
watermarking. DMDS replaces the physical distribution of musical recordings
and advertising to radio, media, retailers and other authorized recipients
with more accountable, effective and far less costly digital delivery of
broadcast quality media via the Internet.
YANGAROO's DMDS has made over five million deliveries of over 11,000
songs from more than 500 record labels to destinations which include radio
stations representing over 35 US broadcast chains. DMDS is the only system
that can digitally deliver music across the U.S., Canada and the UK. YANGAROO
has offices in Toronto, New York, Los Angeles, and London, UK. YANGAROO trades
on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSX-V) under the symbol YOO and in the U.S. under
OTCBB:YOOIF. For further information, please contact John Heaven at
