Servers & storage capacity upgraded for increased traffic and speed
TORONTO, Sept. 19 /CNW/ - YANGAROO Inc., formerly Musicrypt Inc., (TSX-V:
YOO, OTC: YOOIF), the industry's leading secure digital media distribution
company, today announced that it has moved its technology, customer service,
and Canadian sales teams into its new state of the art YANGAROO Development
Centre located in the historic Liberty Village Area of Toronto, a major centre
for technology, film and advertising.
YANGAROO has more than doubled its space to handle additional personnel,
increased volume and several new development initiatives. Music deliveries in
the US are increasing at a rapid rate, and growth continues in the Canadian
and UK markets. This, combined with the company's recent move into advertising
delivery and other verticals, has made the expansion necessary.
The new Development Centre is connected by optical fibre to major
bandwidth providers. In conjunction with the move to larger facilities,
YANGAROO has upgraded its servers and storage capacity, which has improved the
speed and performance of its DMDS services. The company's new servers are
fully redundant and are enterprise grade with enhanced processor speed and
improved throughput. The new high capacity storage facilities are designed to
handle greater volumes of various types of media. At its co-location facility,
YANGAROO offers scalable bandwidth from 10Mbps through GigE, twenty-four hour
security, independent power back-up, redundant climate control, pre-action
fire-suppression systems, and flexible power options: AC, DC and UPS.
"In July, we began the move into the new Development Centre and planning
our hardware and system upgrades, the transition and implementation of which
is now complete," said John Heaven, President and CEO of YANGAROO. "The new
facility is more cost effective and efficient and will provide for our future

YANGAROO's US market presence accelerated through the first half of 2007,
as the number of deliveries made via DMDS in the US rose to 532,000, over five
times those made in the first half of 2006. YANGAROO's DMDS is the de facto
standard for B2B (business to business) digital delivery of new music files
for the record and radio industry in Canada. No competitor's system is in
commercial use at any major record label in Canada to date in 2007. EMI, Sony
BMG, Universal and Warner in Canada all use DMDS commercially and the adoption
of DMDS within the fast growing independent music sector continues.
YANGAROO commenced billable deliveries of advertising for the Gary Group
and Universal Music Group of Los Angeles in July and in September undertook
advertising campaigns for RCA Music Group, Lyric Street Records and Geffen
Records. In the UK, YANGAROO's partner Adstream has commenced billable
deliveries of music to radio.
YANGAROO's DMDS has delivered over 10,000 songs from more than 500 record
labels to destinations which include radio stations representing over 35 US
broadcast chains such as CBS/Infinity, Citadel, Clear Channel, Cox, Cumulus,
Emmis, EntreVision, Entercom, Federated Media, Sirius, Journal, DMX,
Jones Radio, AOL, Music Choice, Radio One, Salem Communications, Univision,
Westwood One, Regent, Premiere Radio, Next Media, XM Satellite Radio, Waitt
Media and many others. DMDS is the only system that can deliver music across
the US, Canada and the UK.
YANGAROO's patented Digital Media Distribution System (DMDS) is a leading
secure B2B digital delivery solution for the music and advertising industries.
DMDS is a web-based delivery system that pioneers secure digital file
distribution by incorporating biometrics, high-value encryption and
watermarking. DMDS replaces the physical distribution of musical recordings
and advertising to radio, media, retailers and other authorized recipients
with more accountable, effective and far less costly digital delivery of
broadcast quality media via the Internet. YANGAROO trades on the TSX Venture
Exchange (TSX-V) under the symbol YOO and in the U.S. under OTCBB:YOOIF. For
