World Sikh Organization of Canada not a participant in development of 8-point Agenda.

OTTAWA, April 18 /CNW Telbec/ - The World Sikh Organization of Canada
(WSO), the largest independent and most consistently credible source of
information on Sikhs in Canada, wishes to clarify, for the record, that any
reference to its involvement or support of the 8 point Sikh agenda issued
today by visiting Sikh organizations from the United Kingdom, is factually
incorrect.
Said WSO President Gurpreet Singh Bal, "No WSO member was authorized by
our elected Executive Council, to sanction this document, nor was any WSO
member a party to any dialogue on these issues."
"Because the WSO had already been working closely with ministers,
bureaucrats, and politicians from all parties in Canada over the last two
decades, we are sensitive to the timing and impact of this public
announcement." Said past WSO President Ajit Singh Sahota.
