World Environmental Day June 5th - Which Canadian city is walking the walk? - Edmonton

    Need A Source?

EDMONTON, June 5 /CNW/ - When it comes to leading environmental
initiatives in Canada, the City of Edmonton has been doing for years what
other major cities in Canada are just talking about - going green. Edmonton is
a global leader in environmental planning and programs - the model that cities
from around the world look to on issues such as recycling and electronic
waste.

Connie Boyce and Mark Brostrom of the City of Edmonton can comment on:

    - How Edmonton already keeps most of its waste out of its landfills
through recycling and re-use and how it will reach 90 per cent waste
       diversion by 2012
    - What other cities are learning about the environment from Edmonton
    - Why cities need to embrace environmental protection more than ever
    - How Edmonton plans to stay ahead
