Work-related deaths: a different situation in BC

MONTREAL, Nov. 6 /CNW Telbec/ - In the workplace in British Columbia, one
trauma fatality in two is caused by a transportation accident. The
work-related fatality situation evolves differently in BC than in Québec and
Ontario, while more workers in BC die from the sequelae of accidents than from
occupational diseases.
At least this is what is indicated in an original study carried out by
the Institut de recherche Robert-Sauvé en santé et en sécurité du travail
(IRSST) that compares the compensated deaths in the three Canadian provinces
with the most workers. The study compares the deaths in eight economic
activity sectors.
