NISKU, AB, Sept. 9 /CNW/ - Wood Composite Technologies Inc. (TSX-V: WCT)
(the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Julie MacPherson
as its new interim Chief Financial Officer.
Ms. MacPherson has over 25 years experience in operational and financial
management, within a variety of industries in Canada and overseas. Prior to
joining Wood Composite, Ms. MacPherson was a Senior Manager, Advisory with
KPMG. Ms. MacPherson earned her MBA from Edinburgh Business School,
Herriot-Watt University and is a member of the Alberta Society of Management

experience, both in Canada and internationally. On behalf of the Board, we

Ms. MacPherson officially assumed her role as interim CFO on September 1,
Wood Composite also announced the appointment of Mr. Peter Inglis as its
Corporate Secretary. Mr. Inglis is a lawyer with Bennett Jones LLP practising
in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, securities, private equity and
corporate/commercial law. He has been corporate counsel to the Company since
February of 2005. Mr. Inglis earned his Bachelor of Laws and Bachelor of Arts
degrees from the University of Alberta and is a member of the Law Society of
WCT also announced the grant of an aggregate of 500,000 new stock options
to its independent directors pursuant to its shareholder approved Stock Option
Plan. The independent directors do not receive any cash fees for their service
other than reimbursement of direct expenses related thereto. The new options
are exercisable for a five-year term at $0.10 per common share. Following
today's grant, 1,221,193 common shares remain reserved for issuance pursuant
to outstanding options granted pursuant to Wood Composite's Stock Option Plan.
The option grants and option amendment have been approved subject to all
applicable regulatory approvals, if any.
