Western Warrior receives initial drill assays from its Pipestone Project

Results include 2.90 g/t gold over 13.46 metres

    (TSX Venture: WWR)

CALGARY, June 20 /CNW/ - Western Warrior Resources Inc. ("Western
Warrior") is pleased to announce that it has received initial assay results
from its Spring 2007 drilling program carried out on three zones at the
Bluffpoint Lake prospect within the Pipestone Project. Gold mineralization was
encountered in all 10 holes. Significant assay results include 2.90 g/t Au
over 13.46 metres in hole BP-07-09 and 1.98 g/t Au over 9.20 metres in hole
BP-07-10. The gold grades are presented in Tables 1, 2 and 3 below. The three
mineralized zones are related to widespread areas of intense hydrothermal
alteration within the Bluffpoint granodiorite. These areas of auriferous
silica-sericite-pyrite alteration are associated with structurally controlled
zones spatially related to the Pipestone-Manitou fault system. Additional
drilling is required to define the width and depth of the mineralized
structures along the two kilometre strike length defined by this initial
program.
Stripping, mapping, trenching and sampling to further define targets for
the next round of diamond drilling is underway.
Complete assay results from the 10 holes will be posted on Western
Warrior's website, www.westernwarrior.ca.

Core was split by saw, sealed in plastic sample bags, placed in shipping
containers, and sent to the SGS Mineral Services' facility in Red Lake,
Ontario for gold analysis by fire assay. Pulps and rejects were forwarded
directly by SGS to their Toronto facility for 32 element ICP analyses.
Metallic assays have been requested on all samples that have returned
anomalous gold assays. Western Warrior intends to complete a comprehensive
compilation and analysis once these additional assays are received.
The drilling program was supervised in the field by Michael Chute, M Sc.,
Exploration Manager of Western Warrior. The QP for the technical aspects of
this press release is Michael Chute.
