Western Warrior announces gold assay results from sampling program at the Pipestone Project, Northwest Ontario

CALGARY, Nov. 20 /CNW/ - (TSX Venture: WWR) - Western Warrior Resources
Inc. ("Western Warrior") is pleased to announce assay results from the Wampum
Prospect on its Pipestone Project. The Pipestone Project is located
35 kilometres northeast of Nestor Falls, northwestern Ontario and covers a
surface area of approximately 67,000 hectares. Recent exploration has
concentrated on the Wampum Prospect which is one of 23 high priority gold
occurrences located on the Pipestone Project.

Highlights of exploration to date at the Wampum Prospect include:

    - Trench chip samples as high as 51.94 g Au/t over 0.35 metres
        (1.15 feet) within 3.35 metres of 4.28 g Au/t.
    - Outcrop grab samples as high as 77.62 g Au/t.
    - Manual stripping has so far exposed two large gold-bearing quartz
        vein zones.
    - Mechanized stripping and channel sampling program has been completed
        on the "Shaft Zone".

The Wampum Prospect, which is located in the northeast corner of Western
Warrior's Pipestone Project, is a large area within which high grade gold
mineralization occurs. The area defined as the Wampun Prospect has been
identified over an approximate strike length of 1.8 kilometres. Historic
mining activity at the prospect includes a 225-foot deep, two compartment
shaft, with 180 feet of lateral development on each of two levels. A muck pile
located adjacent to the shaft was sampled by Western Warrior and returned a
best gold assay of 6.76 g Au/t. The remaining 28 grab samples averaged
1.61 g Au/t.
The Wampum Prospect hosts three distinct gold bearing zones within a
250-metre wide regional structure:

    1. The "Shaft Zone" consists of a highly altered mafic volcanic quartz-
bearing shear zone and a deformed/altered granite hosted stockwork
quartz vein system. The Shaft Zone has been exposed in nine trenches
along strike for approximately 200 metres over a width of up to
        15 metres.
    2. The "North Zone" consists of a highly altered mafic volcanic quartz-
bearing shear zone and a deformed/altered granite hosted stockwork
        quartz vein system.
    3. The "Middle Zone" is a poorly exposed area of altered mafic volcanics
and quartz porphyries that host gold bearing quartz veins.

The gold bearing units are clearly defined across the 250-metre wide main
structure of the Wampum Prospect and, as described above, are related to a
larger regional structure which has been identified over a 1.8 kilometre
strike length. This same structure is interpreted to host the past producing
Errington gold mine and Nuinsco Resources' Victor Island and Cameron Lake gold
deposits. During the 1940's, Wampum Gold Mines cut more than 20 trenches
across the quartz vein zones. The recently completed mechanical stripping
program at the Shaft Zone cleaned out and exposed these trenches for mapping
and sampling. An extensive program of geological mapping and channel sampling
of this area has provided the company with several high confidence drill
targets for this zone. Samples from channels on all of the zones have been
sent to Accurassay Laboratories in Thunder Bay, Ontario and results are
pending. For chain of custody purposes all samples were sealed in plastic
sample bags, placed in sealed shipping containers, and then shipped via PBX
Courier to Accurassay Laboratories in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Sample analysis
consists of bulk metallic fire assay for gold and 36 element ICP analyses.
Assay results from the trench and surface sampling program have been
received and are listed in the table below. To view a map, please see
