Western Warrior adds Bluffpoint claims to Pipestone Project

    (TSX Venture: WWR)

CALGARY, April 5 /CNW/ - Western Warrior Resources Inc. ("Western
Warrior") announced today that it has acquired an undivided 100% interest in
5 unpatented mineral claims, known as the Bluffpoint Property located in
northwest Ontario in the Kenora Mining Division. Previous exploration for gold
on the 128-hectare property includes surface trenching, mapping, sampling and
diamond drilling. That work returned anomalous gold values. The property is
directly adjacent to Western Warrior's extensive Pipestone Project.
The vendor of the mineral claims has been paid $20,000 and retains a 2%
NSR royalty, one-half of which may be repurchased by Western Warrior for
$1,000,000.
The Bluffpoint claims host the Pine Center, Pine Hill and Pine West zones
where gold mineralization is contained in quartz veins and highly altered
pyritic granodiorites related to fault and fracture zones.

    - At Pine Center, trench chip sampling by Opawica Explorations Inc.
        returned values of 3.254 g Au/t over 20 metres, 3.533 g Au/t over
        16 metres and 3.775 g Au/t over 8 metres. The Ontario Geological
        Survey reported gold assays of 1.82, 2.22, 2.92, 7.88 and 94.21 g
Au/t from its surface sampling. Diamond drilling by Minnova Inc.
        returned values of 2.60 g Au/t over 32 feet and 2.05 g Au/t over
        45 feet.

    - At Pine Hill grab sampling done by Opawica Explorations Inc. from two
stripped areas returned values ranging from 0.52 to 3.76 g Au/t and
four other stripped zones returned values up to 1.32 g Au/t.

    - Sampling at Pine West by Opawica Explorations Inc. returned values up
        to 3.25 g Au/t .

Western Warrior's geological team believes these values point to
significant gold mineralized systems that warrant focused exploration to
determine their extent and grade.
The gold-rich, highly mineralized Bluffpoint area is currently being
drilled to an average depth of 125 metres. The first two holes have been
completed and core has been shipped to the SGS laboratory at Red Lake,
Ontario.
Allan Dolan, Chairman of Western Warrior, comments "This exciting piece
of ground is an excellent addition to the company's Pipestone Project in an
extremely active area of Northern Ontario. We believe that the Pipestone
Project has the potential to host a third significant gold deposit in an area
where Rainy River Resources and Nuinsco Resources have gold deposits on ground
contiguous to our Pipestone property."
