Company Taps Fast-Growing Deli Sandwich Category, Focuses on Quality and
TORONTO, March 30 /CNW/ - Today, Wendy's menu is expanding in a new
direction with the nationwide introduction of Frescata sandwiches - a line of
four fresh, premium deli sandwiches including two new sandwiches for children.
"This opens up a whole new menu category for us, and gives our customers

The Frescata sandwiches feature high quality meats and distinctive
sauces, and are served on Artisan bread that is baked fresh daily in Wendy's
restaurants. The Frescata line-up includes:
- Black Forest Ham & Swiss Cheese - Slices of black forest ham topped
with Swiss cheese, honey mustard sauce, tomatoes, and Romaine
lettuce, served on Artisan bread.
- Frescata Club - Slices of black forest ham and roasted turkey breast
topped with bacon, mayonnaise, tomato and Romaine lettuce, served on
- Roasted Turkey & Swiss Cheese - Slices of roasted turkey breast
topped with Swiss cheese, mayonnaise, tomatoes, and Romaine lettuce,
served on Artisan bread.
- Chunky Chicken Salad - Chunky chicken in a dijon ranch sauce
(includes minced celery, onions & green pepper) and Romaine lettuce,
served on Artisan bread.
- Kid's Meal Ham & Cheese - Slices of black forest ham topped with
processed cheese, and Iceberg lettuce, served on a 4-inch bun.
- Kid's Meal Turkey & Cheese - Slices of roasted turkey breast topped
with processed cheese, and Iceberg lettuce, served on a 4-inch bun.
The Frescata sandwiches are served cold and can be made to order to meet
a customer's special tastes and needs. Suggested retail price for the
sandwiches is $3.99 a la carte, and $5.99 if ordered in a combo. Suggested
retail price for the children's sandwich is $1.79 a la carte, and $3.99 if
ordered in a combo.
