VINTAGES summer bin end sale offers savings on 173 premium wines starting August 29

TORONTO, Aug. 26 /CNW/ - VINTAGES, LCBO's fine wines and premium spirits
business unit, is reducing prices on 173 wines during its semi-annual
clearance starting Saturday, August 29, 2009.
"Our customers are increasingly looking for value and this sale offers a
range of great wines at great prices," says Tom Wilson, Vice President of
VINTAGES.
Most of the wines on sale will be reduced in price by 15 to 25 per cent,
with many wines previously priced in the $20 to $25 range selling between $15
and $20.
There will be savings of $25 or more on wines normally priced $100 to
$150 per bottle.
"Many of these wines are ideal for cellaring as they will improve with
age but most are ready to drink now," notes Wilson.
The sale items include wines from some of the world's top regions,
including Bordeaux, Burgundy and Rhone in France, Tuscany and Veneto in Italy,
Spain, Portugal, California, Australia and Chile.
"This semi-annual clearance allows us to offer some bargains while we
prepare for our exciting fall releases with hundreds of new products coming to
the Ontario market," adds Wilson.
Over the past year, VINTAGES has introduced more than 6,000 products
through its bi-weekly in-store releases, CLASSICS Collection, Bordeaux Futures
Program, vintageshoponline.com and special offers.
Sold on a first-come, first-served basis, the reduced items will be
offered exclusively at LCBO VINTAGES stores and VINTAGES sections in LCBO
stores. Selection and quantities will vary from store to store, with the
largest VINTAGES locations offering the broadest selection.
In keeping with standard LCBO clearance procedures, reduced items cannot
be transferred from store to store. Since some products are available in
limited quantities, customers are advised to shop early for best selection.
These sale products are only available in-store.

LCBO reminds customers to please drink responsibly and to never consume
alcohol when driving or boating. Don't forget to bring a reusable bag when you
shop at LCBO and please take your empty beverage alcohol containers (large and
small glass bottles, PET plastic, Tetra Paks, bag-in-box and cans) to The Beer
