STORY SUMMARY: On Wednesday, January 31 the 2007 Heart and Stroke
Foundation Report on Canadians' Health will be released. In this year's HSF
Report, the term 'equal opportunity' takes on a new meaning when it comes to
women, heart disease, and stroke. In other words, we've come a long way...but
not far enough. The Foundation will reveal that gender inequity is taking its
toll on Canadian women's health, one life at a time, and how the health care
system and Canadians' own knowledge are leaving women behind.
The Report will be unveiled at a press conference on Wednesday January
31st at 10 a.m. Eastern at the The Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario Head
Office 2300 Yonge Street (SW corner of Yonge and Eglinton), 13th Floor Toronto
