AJAX, ON, Oct. 4 /CNW/ - A series of energy management workshops is being
offered by Veridian Connections Inc. with the goal of helping its business
customers reduce electricity costs. The workshops will mark the introduction
of Veridian's Electricity Retrofit Incentive Program (ERIP); an initiative
that offers cash incentives to help customers implement energy efficiency
measures in their business operations.
The full day workshops are being delivered by Veridian in cooperation
with the Ontario Power Authority and Natural Resources Canada. They will
feature renowned energy experts from Waterloo based TdS Dixon Inc., who will
guide participants through The Seven Steps to good energy management. Speakers
will also be on hand to explain cost saving lighting options and to discuss
incentives available through both the ERIP and Natural Resources Canada
"We hope the information provided in these workshops combined with the
cash incentives offered through ERIP will put our customers on the path to
electricity cost savings," says Michael Angemeer, Veridian's President and
CEO. "We see tremendous potential for improvements in energy efficiency in the
areas of heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems, lighting, and
motors. Tapping these and other opportunities will save businesses money, help
them stay competitive, and reduce environmental impacts."
Workshops will be held at the Taboo Resort in Gravenhust on October 16th,
at the Ramada Inn in Belleville on November 1st and at the Deer Creek Golf
Club in Ajax on November 8th. Full registration details are available on
Veridian's website at www.veridian.on.ca. Space is limited and
pre-registration is required. Veridian business customers with monthly
electricity costs of about $2,000 or more are encouraged to register.
Businesses do not need to attend a workshop to take advantage of the new
ERIP incentives. "Applications and worksheets to apply for the incentives are
available on our website," says Angemeer. "We encourage all of our business
customers to explore and take advantage of this exciting new program".
