AJAX, ON, Oct. 30 /CNW/ - Veridian's Chief Financial Officer has been
recognized for his professional and civic accomplishments by the Certified
Management Accountants of Ontario (CMA Ontario). During a weekend ceremony in
Toronto Mr. David Clark was appointed as a Fellow of The Society of Management
Accountants of Ontario (FCMA).
Clark was nominated by his peers in the management accounting profession
for the prestigious designation. The FCMA designation honours CMA members
whose outstanding achievements make them role models for others in the

Clark was influential in the merger of three local utility companies that
formed Veridian in 1999. Since that time he has served as the company's Chief
Financial Officer and has helped Veridian grow from about 60,000 to 108,000
customers through a series of mergers and acquisitions. He and his family live
in the Municipality of Clarington where he is Past President of the local
Board of Trade, and a volunteer with the Bowmanville Memorial Hospital
Foundation. Clark also serves as a governor on the Board of CMA Ontario.
