TORONTO, April 24 /CNW/ - Elementary public school teachers, members of
the Upper Canada Elementary Teacher Local of the Elementary Teachers'
Federation of Ontario (ETFO), reached a tentative agreement with the Upper
Canada District School Board early this morning after a lengthy bargaining
"Our bargaining team has done a tremendous job. They identified the
common ground needed to reach a deal and worked around the clock to make it
happen. Their determined efforts during a challenging bargaining environment
will benefit our members over the next four years of their new contract," said
ETFO President David Clegg.
"I'm pleased that we were able to meet our deadline and reach a deal that
provides improved working conditions and benefits for our hard-working
members," said Louise Lanctot, President of the ETFO Upper Canada Teacher

public elementary school teachers. Their last contract expired August 31,
