CALGARY, Oct. 12 /CNW/ - Many hunger for international fame, but only one
of Alberta's hot new chefs will make the cut in a competition taking place at
the new Alberta Foodservice Show.
On Oct. 28 and 29, Calgary's Roundup Centre will be home to the Rising
Star Chef Challenge, where emerging chefs from Alberta restaurants will go
head-to-head with rising stars from Alberta hotels to prepare and plate a
single dish - in 15 minutes or less!
Competitors must use all of the locally produced ingredients provided -
plus one of their own secret ingredients - and the final creations will be
assessed by a panel of judges. The winning chefs from the Sunday competition
will advance to the final challenge round on Monday.
