University Students across Canada mark the 75th Anniversary of the 1932-33 Famine-Genocide in Soviet Ukraine



    MONTREAL, Nov. 20 /CNW Telbec/ - On November 21 and 22, the Ukrainian
Canadian Students' Union (SUSK) which is comprised of chapters at universities
across Canada, will mark the 75th anniversary of the 1932-33 famine-genocide
in Soviet Ukraine by staging a symbolic 32-hour Famine in universities across
Canada.
    Over 7 million Ukrainians were intentionally starved to death, in one of
the largest genocides of the 20th century. The symbolic famine begin at, at
1:00 pm on November 21, 2007, on various university campuses across Canada
(McGill University, Concordia University, University of Toronto, Guelph
University, University of Manitoba, University of Alberta and others) and end
on Thursday, November 22, at 9:00 pm.
