Tyhee reports Nicholas Lake gold assays of 26.980 GPT over 2.7 M., completes four drillholes on the Teapot Showing and closes private placement

    TSX Venture: TDC

VANCOUVER, Oct. 18 /CNW/ - Tyhee Development Corp. (TSX Venture, TDC)
(the Company") today announced it has completed four drill holes on the Teapot
Showing on the Yellowknife Gold Project. The drill program tested an east-west
striking zone of retrograde biotite altered metasedimentary rocks up to
80 metres wide and 600 metres long with abundant quartz veining (see NR S8,
R24, October 1, 2007). The core will be logged and sampled, and assay results
will be released upon receipt.
Dave Webb, President and CEO reports "We are pleased to have completed
the first follow-up drilling on the Teapot Zone. A first pass reconnaissance
drill program completed in the early 1990's intersected significant gold
values in seven of thirteen holes. Additional holes are planned to follow-up
targets that have been identified from surface exploration completed this
summer and which have been tested in this first phase of drilling. The
confirmation of scheelite (tungsten mineral) and associated altered
granodiorite suggests a similarity between the Teapot Zone and the Nicholas
Lake Main Zone. The implications that controls on mineralization similar to
those previously defined at the Nicholas Lake Main Zone may exist are
encouraging. Logging, sampling and assaying of drill core from the first four
drillholes is ongoing and once completed will be used in the planning of
future drill campaigns."

Nicholas Lake Main Zone Assay Results

Additional assay results have been received from the Nicholas Lake Main
Zone resampling program. Results continue to demonstrate both narrow
high-grade zones as well as broader lower-grade gold zones. Gold assays such
as 26.98 grams per tonne (gpt) gold over 2.7 metres (m) in N059, 9.22 gpt over
5.5 m in N066 and 3.71 gpt over 17.5 m in N063 have been received. As well,
tungsten values continue to be returned in economically significant
concentrations such as 0.625% WO(3) over 4.5 m in N066 and 0.131% WO(3) over
35.2 m in N064.

Dave Webb reports "these drillhole results continue to be in line with
expectations. Both gold grades and widths are as anticipated, and the tungsten
values, are for the most part close to the gold zones. Pricing of tungsten is
largely by confidential long term pricing, however currently reported prices
are around $25 per kilogram as semi-refined product."

price of $0.45 for gross proceeds of $84,825. Insiders participated in this
private placement.

    About Tyhee Development Corp.

Tyhee Development Corp. is a gold exploration and development company
currently focused on the historic Yellowknife Gold Camp, NWT, Canada. It is
the largest property holder in the historic camp, and has the largest
exploration and development program underway in the region. Its principal
asset is the advanced-stage Yellowknife Gold Project, which consists of
6,625 hectares (15,481 acres) of mining leases located 90 km (56 miles) north
of Yellowknife, NWT, Canada. Additional gold properties have been acquired
within the Yellowknife Gold Belt and exploration of these targets is
continuing.
Tyhee completed fire assays on drill core samples using 30 gram aliquots
with ICP-ES finish for gold analyses, prepared at Acme Analytical Laboratories
Ltd. in Yellowknife, and finished at Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd in
Vancouver. A semi-quantitative multi-element analysis is run on 0.5 gm aliquot
samples leached in a hot aqua regia solution and measured using ICP-ES
techniques. All elevated tungsten values are then re-analyzed on 0.5 gm
aliquots digested using phosphoric acid and measured using ICP ES techniques.
Tyhee conducts a rigorous QA/QC program of inserting blanks and duplicates in
the field and standards in the laboratory. The laboratory also conducted their
own independent QA/QC program including inserting their own standards and
re-running samples from pulped material and reject material. These results
were provided to Tyhee. All standards, duplicates, blanks and check assays
returned acceptable results. Dr. D.R. Webb, Ph.D., P.Geol., the designated QP
