    TORONTO, Oct. 15 /CNW/ - Monday's episode of Two and a Half Men at 9 p.m.
on 'A' attracted a new record audience for the network, not only among total
viewers (1.05 million), but the key A18-49 (717,000) and A25-54 (760,000)
demos as well. Paired with the second season premiere of Samantha Who? at
9:30 p.m. (549,000), the two sitcoms joined forces for a powerful comedy hour
on 'A'.

Two and a Half Men was the most-watched program in Canada in its
time-slot from 9-9:30 p.m. among A25-54, attracting more viewers than Heroes.
Among total viewers, Two and a Half Men (1.05 million) almost toppled Heroes
(Global/NBC, 1.17 million) and attracted more viewers than CBC's The Border
(546,000).

At 9:30 p.m., Samantha Who? attracted more viewers than E!'s Worst Week
(414,000). Also of note on 'A' on Monday night:

    - At 8 p.m., Gossip Girl (256,000) out-gossiped an encore of Global's
90210 (223,000) nationally and in Toronto/Vancouver with total
viewers. Gossip Girl also trumped E!'s 'Til Death (157,000) in all
        four demos.

    - At 10 p.m., The Mentalist was No. 1 with viewers A18-34 and A18-49
        over E!'s Boston Legal

'A' and CTV combined to claim four of the Top 5 shows in primetime Monday
night. CSI: Miami (No. 1, 2.15 million, CTV) delivered more than four times
the audience of the series premiere of My Own Worst Enemy (Global/NBC;
525,000) while Dancing With the Stars (1.6 million, CTV) danced away with the
No. 2 position. Corner Gas returned for its sixth season with another
million-plus audience (No. 4, 1.16 million, CTV) while Two and a Half Men (No.
5, 1.05 million, 'A') was close behind.

In the next episode of Two and a Half Men, "A Jock Strap in Hell"
(Monday, October 20 at 9 p.m. ET on 'A'), Charlie tries to help Jake's former
teacher, who became a stripper after dating him, but things go from bad to
worse when she has a religious conversion.

In next week's episode of Samantha Who?, "Out of Africa" (Monday,
October 20 at 9:30 p.m. ET on 'A'), Samantha suddenly decides to go to Africa
and volunteer to help those in need. Her friends and family are convinced that
she'll chicken out - which she does after discovering the countless
vaccinations and obstacles that she would face to make the journey. To keep up
the charade of being out of the country, Sam hides out with Andrea and Dena.
