TVOKids wants to know: Which teacher is tops?

The third annual TVOKids Best Teacher Ever Contest in partnership with
City Parent launches May 15, 2009

TORONTO, April 23 /CNW/ - Who's the best teacher ... ever? TVOKids is
putting that question to Ontario's kids in its third annual Best Teacher Ever
Contest.
Beginning May 15 and running to June 16, grade-school kids in Ontario
have an opportunity to recognize their teachers for the valuable work that
they do. Last year's contest attracted over 5000 entries. To enter, kids must
write to TVOKids describing, in as few or as many words as they wish, what
makes their teacher so special. Is it because they make every kid feel welcome
and at home in the classroom? Do they go out of their way to give extra help
after class? Or do they just make learning fun?
Children from across the province can nominate their favourite teacher in
one of three categories: Junior and Senior Kindergarten; Primary (grades 1-3);
and Junior (grades 4-6). Entries can be submitted online at TVOKids.com, or
mailed to:

    TVOKids
    Attn: Best Teacher Ever Contest
    2180 Yonge Street
    Box 200, Station Q
    Toronto, ON
    M4T 2T1

Winners will be chosen Wednesday June 18, 2009 by random draw. And in
this contest, both teachers and the students who nominate them have a chance
to win. The prizes for each category include an iPod for the winning entry
(student), a laptop for the best teacher, and a pizza lunch for the winner's
class.
An additional feature to this year's contest is Teacher of the Day
wherein one exemplary teacher is chosen by random draw to be profiled daily on
TVOKids.com beginning May 20.
