Canadian travellers offered additional protection against price drops
with Travelocity PriceGuardian
TORONTO, June 18 /CNW/ - To help Canadians escape economic gloom,
Travelocity.ca has announced the "Summer to the Rescue" sale with special
pricing and discounts across a broad range of vacation packages, hotels and
destinations. In addition, as an incentive for Canadian vacationers,
Travelocity.ca will waive air booking fees on flights booked between today and
August 3, 2009(*).
The Summer to the Rescue sale at Travelocity.ca includes attractive
pricing on flights, hotels and packages for many of the holiday destinations
most popular with Canadians, including Las Vegas, Orlando, Hawaii, Jamaica and
the Dominican Republic. With offers including free nights and discounts of up
to 30% off hotel bookings, Canadian travellers clicking on the Sale tab at
Travelocity.ca will find something for everyone.
"Canadians have to be more cost-conscious these days, but they still want
to escape for the summer," commented Brian Simpson, General Manager of
Travelocity.ca. "That is why we have increased the savings across hundreds of
destinations, why we don't charge service fees for vacation packages and why
we're going to waive flight booking fees for summer travellers."
To further protect Canadian customers, Travelocity.ca provides
PriceGuardian(SM), a service that offers customers a refund if another
consumer books the same vacation package for less on Travelocity.ca. With
PriceGuardian, when a customer plans and books a flight and hotel package
online with Travelocity.ca, they can be sure they're going to get a good
price. If the cost of either the flight or accommodation components drop prior
to their trip, such that another customer later books the exact same vacation
package on Travelocity.ca at a lower total price, Travelocity.ca will
automatically refund the difference to the customer, from $10 up to $500.
