MONTREAL, March 9 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada and Air Canada Jazz advise
that there are significant delays and cancellations to flights on Sunday,
March 9 in the aftermath of this weekend's severe winter storms. Air Canada is
endeavouring to get customers to destinations as soon as the situation
stabilizes, however a return to a normal schedule is not expected before
Monday, March 10 in the evening. We regret the inconvenience to customers
affected by the disruption and we thank them for their understanding.
To minimize airport congestion, customers whose flights have been
cancelled are urged to not present themselves at the airport to make
alternative arrangements or to standby for other flights.
The severe impact of the storm has caused particularly significant
disruption to Montreal, and passenger reprotection from Montreal to certain
destinations will not be available over the next 48 hours. Air Canada
encourages customers departing from Montreal who are able to postpone travel
to do so. Customers will be able to rebook their travel within 7 days without
penalty, through Air Canada Reservations at 1-888-247-2262; TTY hearing
impaired: 1-800-361-8071. Customers with flights from other affected areas who
wish to make alternative travel arrangements may also do so without penalty.
The volume of calls to call centers is expected to be heavy and we thank
