MONTREAL, March 15 /CNW Telbec/ - Towers Perrin, a global professional
services firm, announced today the acquisition of ISR, a leading global
employee research and consulting firm. The transaction combines ISR's employee
research capabilities with Towers Perrin's existing consulting and research
capabilities to provide clients with market-leading services in optimizing the
value of their workforce and workforce investments.
"As leaders search for competitive business advantage and improved return
on their investments in people, the ability to find, deploy and engage the
right people with the right skills across the organization is at the top of
the agenda for chief executives and CFOs, as well as business unit leaders and
HR," said Mark V. Mactas, Towers Perrin chairman and CEO.
"Insights into the employee mindset are a critical component in building
the programs and work environment required to consistently deliver high
performance," Mactas continued. "With the addition of ISR's capabilities, we
can enhance the integrated solutions and metrics we provide to clients across
all of our services. Ultimately, clients want to measure and improve their
return on their people investments. Towers Perrin believes we can now do this
better than anyone," Mactas added.
ISR, headquartered in Chicago, has over 200 employees working in
10 offices on five continents, including an office in Canada. Its services
include full-scale employee opinion surveys, senior leadership surveys, M&A
surveys and expatriate surveys. In addition, ISR currently has one of the
world's largest repositories of normative employee opinion data.
ISR's capabilities will further enhance Towers Perrin's global
businesses. In particular, these capabilities align closely with Towers
Perrin's Workforce Effectiveness practice. This practice helps organizations
around the world define the workforce they will need in the future, engage
people to deliver better financial performance and ensure the optimal supply,
deployment and capability of leaders, managers and employees. Accurate
employee data and market intelligence are the foundation of this work.
"We are excited to become a part of Towers Perrin, a firm whose values,
global reputation for excellence and strong track record of customer service
are a perfect fit with our culture," said ISR chairman and CEO Jack Stanek.
"Over the past few years, Canadian business leaders have expressed their
need for increasingly sophisticated insight and intelligence on workforce
issues, to help them attract, retain and engage their talent " said Michel
Tougas, Towers Perrin's Managing Principal for Montreal. "Adding ISR's
capabilities to our existing knowledge of HR practices and workforce issues
will help us continue to evolve to meet their changing business needs, and
enable our clients to respond better to the changing labour market."
