TORONTO, Feb. 28 /CNW/ - The GTAA is pleased to announce the first ever
Toronto Pearson Runway Run. This landmark event is set to take place on
Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 8:30am.
On that day, Toronto Pearson will close off one of its runways to
aircraft, and open it up to runners and walkers. Participants will be invited
to take part in a five kilometer run, a two kilometer family fun walk, and a
two kilometer individual fun walk. All proceeds from the event will go to the
William Osler Health Centre.
This event is being coordinated in collaboration with The Running Room.

The GTAA is the non-share, not for profit authority that operates Toronto
Pearson. All revenue generated by the GTAA is reinvested back into the
airport. In 2007, 31.5 million passengers travelled through Toronto Pearson.
