Today's Parent reveals Top Toys for 2007

Today's Parent has the inside scoop from the toughest toy critics - the
Canadian kids in our toy-testing program.

TORONTO, Nov. 1 /CNW/ - At a press conference today in Toronto, Today's
Parent revealed the Top Toys for 2007, toys which have been approved by the
toughest critic of all - kids. Not only will the Today's Parent Top Toys Guide
help alleviate the stress of holiday shopping, but it will ease parents'
worries about toy safety.
"Recent revelations about unacceptable lead content in toys are causing
parents a good deal of worry this holiday season," says Contributing Toy
Editor Marcia MacQuarrie.

Today's Parent has responded with two initiatives:

    1. We have sent all toys reviewed in the magazine (both in our November
and December issues) to the McMaster University Occupational and
Environmental Health Laboratory in Hamilton for testing to ensure they
    are completely lead-free.

    2. We have also published the detailed safety criteria we use when
screening our toy selections in the hopes that sharing these guidelines
will help parents know what to watch for when they purchase toys.

As Marcia says, "Today's Parent is committed to providing our readers
with an excellent selection of toys that offer both kid-tested appeal as well
as lasting and safe, lead-free fun."
The 2007 Top Toy Guide is available in the November issue of Today's
Parent, currently on newsstands. A full listing, including Latest Greatest, is
available online at todaysparent.com.
