OTTAWA, March 4 /CNW Telbec/ - Thermal Energy International Inc.
(TSX-V: TMG) (www.thermalenergy.com) is pleased to announce it has received a
new initial order for the GEM Condensate Return System from one of Canada's
largest energy and energy-related companies.
"Thermal Energy is encouraged by the steadily increasing interest in the
GEM(R) steam traps from the petrochemical and oil sands sector," said Thermal
Energy President and CEO Tim Angus. The traps will be used at one of the
customer's facilities in the Lloydminster area.
"We believe our solutions such as the GEM(R) steam traps which virtually
eliminate steam system leakage and greatly reduce trap maintenance, can play
an instrumental role in reducing the cost of energy production in the Alberta
Oil industry by making steam systems more efficient," said Mr. Angus. "This in
turn can reduce the steam-to-oil ratio, using less water for every barrel of
oil produced and lower fuel consumption, which lowers both operating costs and
greenhouse gas emissions."
